Welcome to the Home Farm School Association

An introduction to the HFSA

The Home Farm School Association (HFSA) is a parent-run committee, and all school families are part of the HFSA, whilst their children are at Home Farm.

We play a huge part in the school community, helping to raise funds throughout the year. We buy equipment for the school and run fun and enjoyable social activities for the children.

Committee Members

Each year a management committee is voted in and this year your committee members are:

Chair – Laura Royce and Chris Royce

Vice Chair – Emma Lamond

Treasurer – Robin Greatorex and Hazel Gregory,

Secretary – Natalie Rowe

We are always looking for new members to join our team. There are so many skills that Home Farm parents have that would be so helpful for us! Maybe you are a graphic designer or a printer and can help with posters, maybe you can do face painting or maybe you are skilled with glitter tattoos! Maybe you are a local business who would like to support through sponsorship of events or maybe you are creative and have a lot of ideas to contribute. If you feel you can support the HFSA in any way, we would love to hear from you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few FAQs which the committee are often asked:

What does the fundraising pay for?

Over the last couple of years, the money we have raised has funded big things like the swimming pool roof and all-weather canopies in the playground, through to fun things like a circus skills day for the children, along with the more practical everyday things like pritt sticks and whiteboard markers. This all helps to stretch the school’s limited budgets.

How many people do you need on the committee?

There are usually 10 people on the committee. Committee members are voted in each year at the Annual General Meeting. Parents/carers will receive a letter at the beginning of each school year asking whether they would like to stand for a position on the committee.

As for parent helpers however, we need as many as possible! As the saying goes, ‘many hands make light work’ so the more people who are able to join, the better. We totally understand that everyone has a lot of personal commitments, and that time is precious. We are grateful for any time people can give.

Come along and join in the planning for future fundraising activities! We are looking forward to meeting you. Should you have any questions, please contact Laura Royce at homefarmsa@gmail.com
